Buccaneer 8 Strand (Windlass) plaited rope Anchor Lines are manufactured with a rope designed to work with all windlass on the market (consult the owners manual for the correct size). 8 Strand Windlass is non-rotational thus eliminating hocking and other problems associated with twisted anchor lines. With the 8 Strand windlass spliced directly onto the chain the assembly easily enters and exits the windlass.

Consult your windlass owner's manual for the proper size.
We recommend using 1/4" chain with 1/2" - 9/16" windlass and 5/16" chain with 5/8" - 3/4" windlass.
8 Strand Windlass rope stretches and absorbs shock to protect your boat, has good "hand" (feels good), and resist abrasion for durability and value.
8 Strand Windlass rope flakes and falls on to itself more compactly than 3 strand rope in the locker (will not bird nest) allowing more to be stored in the same space.
Pre-soak 8 strand before the first use. Do not use Dry and New!!!!!!!
